  • Descrição: A number of studies have demonstrated that the regional and subcellular localization of dopamine (DA) in the brain does not resemble those of the other neurotransimitters such as noradrenaline or acetylcoline (ACh). DA has been found almost equally distributed between the particulate material and supernatant fractions after subcellular fractionation (1). The present investigation was undertaken to determine whether or not there exists a species difference in the subcellular structure where DA is localized. The striatum of the rat was chosen since its subcellular localization of DA has not been demonstrated.
