İsmail Saral Tosun has done research on Gül Baba for a long time and turned his research into a publication. He is known for his work on Gül Baba both in Turkey and Hungary. Gül Baba, one of the symbolic names of the cultural ties between Türkiye and Hungary, has always remained on the agenda with the works of İsmail Saral Tosun. He transformed his works published as articles into an independent work.
