Descrição:
A stalled rural census project, students with disabilities who had no access to in-person classes due to the pandemic, infrastructure projects that had to be carried out in a neighborhood where the Mara Salvatrucha gang operates... These are some of the eight cases that became finalists in the 2021 Superheroes of Development competition. Since 2018, this initiative has recognized and highlighted executing units that overcome major challenges to implement IDB-funded projects. The fourth version of the initiative was expanded to include both ongoing initiatives and recently completed ones, in order to identify good practices and lessons from completed projects. Superheroes of Development continues to evolve. More than a contest, it serves as a knowledge platform and source of learning for other development projects in Latin America and the Caribbean.
