  • Descrição: Our intention is to present a dissonant study about the representation of madness in the film Antichrist (2009), by Danish filmmaker Lars von Trier. Departing from the analysis of the point of view presented by the film, which we think is associated with the male character, we aim to observe how femininity and its supposed “deviance from the norm” are filtered by the interests of the discourse embodied in this male figure. More broadly, we are interested in illustrating through a backward reading how the hallucinatory, paranoid processes and the trance state that the film exhibits refer to this very male figure, and what the consequences of this particular formal setting are.
    Nossa intenção é apresentar aqui um estudo dissonante sobre a representação da loucura no filme Anticristo (Antichrist, 2009), do cineasta dinamarquês Lars von Trier. Partindo da análise do foco narrativo exposto pelo filme, que seria associado à personagem masculina, objetivamos observar como a feminilidade e seu suposto “desvio da norma” são filtrados pelos interesses do discurso corporificado na figura masculina. De forma mais abrangente, interessa-nos ilustrar, numa leitura a contrapelo, como os processos alucinatórios, paranoicos e o estado de transe que o filme apresenta referem-se justamente a esta figura, e quais as consequências desta determinada configuração formal.
