Descrição: Given the constant evolution of football, the emergence of managers in football clubs and the issue of referee's professionalization as main points, and assuming that the image of football referees has always been the target of distrust and suspicious regarding their conducts, this study aims to check if the referee's professionalization could influence on the referee's image in the view of professionals involved to the football management in Rio Grande do Sul. It was evident that the prejudice linked to the referee's image seems not to be related to the individuals performing activity, but the activity exerted by them, more specifically, to the stereotype linked to Football referees.
