  • Descrição: Computer Associates International Inc's (CA) CA '90s will enhance and expand on the architectures offered by IBM and DEC. The CA '90s architecture links CA's range of products across many different platforms via shared software services such as communications and data management. CA will use standards embodied in IBM's Systems Application Architecture and DEC's Network Application Support. CA '90s software services now available include repository and database services across multiple platforms, distributed processing, a single point of communications and a generic interface for security products. CA will be able to code support for a particular environment once and then apply it to all appropriate software applications by centralizing such key technologies within service layers.
