  • Descrição: Context: The consumption of alcohol and drugs constitutes a problem worldwide. The public health in Brazil has been marked by the exclusion and absence of specific politics regarding Brazilian public health. It shows the necessity to reverse the attendance models to contemplate the real necessities for alcohol and drug use disorders. The challenge to formulate rules of prevention, treatment and rehabilitation in a logic that allows singularity e social reinsertion of individuals has been subject of diverse studies in this area. Objectives: To identify the use and the concept comprehension of psychosocial rehabilitation associated with problems in the consumption of alcohol and drugs. Methods: Bibliographic revision in the Medline's data base, between 1997 and 2007, about psychosocial rehabilitation specifically by alcohol and drug use disorders. Results: Ten articles were selected that present similarity with this subject. Discussion: We found thermos "social support" and "sustenance support" those refer the importance of network in recuperation of alcohol and drug users; even so the psychosocial rehabilitation determinates the importance of individual network as one of their axle
