  • Descrição: A study has been performed of the effect of the sulfur content, microalloying and thermal deformation treatment on mechanical and structural properties of this steel. It is revealed that it is possible to improve strength characteristics by 20-40 n/mm exp 2 , the impact toughness, by 2-3 times and to reduce critical temperatures of transition to brittle state by 20-30 deg C. Niobium-alloying up to 0.03% further improves the level of mechanical properties, crack resistance and brittle fracture resistance.
