  • Descrição: This study belongs to the interdisciplinary branch of science. It is based on the physical model of gamma radiation transport in environments of different density which is applied to nuclear medicine. Interactions between gamma quanta and biological tissues are studied. Attenuation of gamma radiation within the body is modeled. The collimator-detector response function to describe radiation transfer in a lead collimator and in scintillation detector is analyzed. Mathematical modeling of gamma radiation transport in a human body and in a gamma-camera is performed. The results of modeling are compared to the native clinical data.
