Descrição:
The interlaminar shear stress distribution was estimated for quasi-isotropic laminates on the basis of free body diagrams. Superficial thermal strain deviations from lamination theory were then simply related to interlaminar shear stresses which are considerably influenced by the laminate stacking sequence. The general trends shown by experimental results obtained with two quasi-isotropic carbon fibre-reinforced epoxy resin laminates, differing in both lamination sequence and single lamina properties, are well reproduced by the model predictions.
