Descrição: The effect of pressure and granulometry on the specific resistance of the cake is a characterizing parameter of the speed of filtration. The effect of pressure is represented by an equation of the exponential type ( alpha = alpha sub / o/ multiplied by DELTA P sup / n/ / ), with alpha sub / o/ depending on the granulometry. Two slurries, a feldspar type and a porcelain type, were studied.
