  • Descrição: The work involved in circulating the films is discussed in reproductions of period correspondence (primarily between the filmmakers and their former U.S. distributor, New Yorker Films' Dan Talbot), in an essay by Fendt about the films' critical receptions in English, and in a piece by Straub-Huillet collaborator Barbara Ulrich about creating new subtitled film prints and Digital Cinema Package (DCP) files, plus distribution arrangements, for the North American tour.\n A work journal by Straub-Huillet assistant Gregory Woods describes the shooting of the couple's filmic adaptation of the Schoenberg opera Moses and Aaron (1974) and is accompanied by Huillet's opposite-page notes correcting and elaborating on a number of points that give insight into their working methods. "Atelier" reproduces varied work documents, including production itineraries, press kits (designed by Straub), and shooting scripts colorfully annotated to mark directions to actors, including points at which to stop for breath and lengths of pauses to be taken.
