  • Descrição: In questo studio l'Autore affronta il problema del modernismo islamico, una corrente che già da un secolo va producendo movimenti e organizzazioni che hanno avuto ed hanno una grande influenza nella vita culturale, sociale e politica di molti Paesi islamici. Tuttavia, la complessa terminologia usata dai modernisti rimane ancora non del tutto precisata, e ingenera non solo malintesi e paradossi, ma anche linee di condotta improprie. Ne conseguono le reazioni dei conservatori, che nonostante ogni progresso si mantengono forti, nella certezza di custodire valori superiori e assoluti. Altri invece tentano di risolvere le problematiche della storia e di armonizzare il passato con il presente. I vari aspetti della questione, specialmente per quanto riguarda la situazione in Tunisia, vengono esposti con molta chiarezza dall'A., che infine propone anche alcune interessanti soluzioni. The Author deals here with the problem of Islamic modernism, a current which for a century has been producing movements and organizations which have had and still have a great impact on the cultural, social and political life of many Islamic countries.However, the complex terminology used by these modernists is not yet will defined and is often a source of misunderstandings producing paradoxes and improper ways of conduct.Hence the reactions of the conservatives, which in spite of every progress are still holding a strong position and feel certain of being custodians of absolute and higher values. Others again are engaged in an attempt to solve historical problems and to harmonize the past with the present. The various aspects of the problem, particularly with regard to the situation in Tunisia, are clearly emphasized by the Author, who eventually puts forward certain interesting solutions.
