  • Descrição: A permanent magnet brushless dc motor utilized in an electrically assisted kick scooter is studied in this paper, by analyzing its whole static thermal field with particular focus on the motor stator. Methods for building a static FEM thermal model and an analytical thermal model which is based on the equivalent thermal network method are presented. Analysis results using the models are verified with test results. The foregoing methods can also be employed for future thermal analysis and computing of other electric machines.
