Descrição: Ames comments on the editorial malpractice of Washington Post, a US-based newspaper. He observes that such malpractice has been driving America and Russia to the brink of a new cold war. Moreover, he examines the hyperbolic October 22 lead editorial, "More Poison: Another prominent adversary of Vladimir Putin is mysteriously exposed to toxins." This editorial essentially accused Prime Minister Vladimir Putin of poisoning human rights lawyer Karina Moskalenko in Strasbourg France. Furthermore, he criticizes Post's editorial page editor and onetime Moscow bureau co-chief, Fred Hiatt, for his sources for the paper's charges. Finally, he wonders why Hiatt ignored his question asking why the Post hadn't waited for the investigation results before publishing its own verdict.
