Descrição: In an interview with Lutz Diegner, Tanzanian author William E. Mkufya discusses his 1999 literary Kiswahili epic "Ziraili na Zirani" ["Ziraili and Zirani"]. Among other topics, Mkufya elaborates on his literary influences and how he got his inspiration to write the novel. The manuscript of the work, which is written partially in verse, won first prize in 1999 in the Tanzania National Literary Competition.
