  • Descrição: The present thesis aims to investigate the contribution of three notable women to the field of macroeconomic theory: Anna Schwartz, Christina Romer, and Eliana Cardoso. This focus is particularly relevant as it represents an innovative contribution to economic literature by expanding the scope of female intellectual biographies in a field historically dominated by men. By examining the intellectual journey of these women, analyzing statistical data related to their works, and placing them within broader academic debates, this research intends to contribute to a deeper understanding of female trajectories in the history of economic thought. The primary objective is to shed light on the contributions of these economists, moving away from the traditional narrative that often overlooks female figures while focusing on male trajectories. The text presents comprehensive biographies for each of the mentioned economists, based on the analysis of their works and research from available archives. Thus, it is expected to provide a more comprehensive and inclusive understanding of the influence of these women in the field of macroeconomic theory.
