  • Descrição: Proust dedica sis anys de la seva vida, del 1899 fins al 1905, a traduir i anotar John Ruskin. Com un projecte col·lectiu que implicava la seva mare i amics com Marie Nordlinger, el va conduir, un cop passada «l’era de les traduccions», a dedicar-se a la traducció de si mateix, és a dir al desxiframent del «llibre interior»? Comparar la concepció i la pràctica proustianes de la traducció a la del pastitx, dues activitats «sintètiques» però que tenen una contrapart «analítica», permet aportar elements de resposta a aquesta pregunta. Proust devoted six years of his life, from 1899 to 1905, to translating and annotating John Ruskin. How did a collective project, involving his mother and friends such as Marie Nordlinger, lead Proust, once the «age of translations» was over, to devote himself to translating himself, i. e. to deciphering «the inner book»? Comparing Proust’s conception and practice of translation with that of pastiche, two «synthetic» activities that are not without an «analytic» counterpart, will help to answer this question. Proust consacre six ans de sa vie, de 1899 à 1905, à traduire et annoter John Ruskin. Comment un chantier collectif, impliquant sa mère et des amis comme Marie Nordlinger, l’aura-t-il conduit, une fois refermé « l’ère des traductions », à se consacrer à la traduction de soi-même, autrement dit au déchiffrement du « livre intérieur » ? Comparer la conception et la pratique proustiennes de la traduction à celle du pastiche, deux activités « synthétiques » mais qui ont une contrepartie « analytique », permet d’apporter des éléments de réponse à cette question.
