Descrição: This animation introduces Restoration London to primary school children It features a range of characters from Samuel Pepys's diary and other historical sources. We see Elizabeth Pepys (Samuel Pepys's wife) and her dog Fancy travel across London in a coach. The video is available in subtitled and BSL-interpreted versions. A transcript is also included. The video is part of a set of a learning resources about the Great Fire of London based on the requirements for Key Stage 1 of the National Curriculum for England. An accompanying 'Teachers' Guide to 1660s London' gives mini-biographies for the characters shown. The video was created by the Reimagining the Restoration project, in a collaboration between the University of Leicester and the Museum of London. It was published on the Museum of London's website in 2023. The project's Principal Investigator, Kate Loveman carried out research for the video, and wrote the script with the project's Learning Manager, James Harrod. The animation studio was King Bee.
