Description:
Lattice dynamics in intercalated layered materials was studied by a simple linear-chain model. The frequency and the normal coordinate of the intercalation mode were calculated. This model gives us a basic framework for lattice dynamics in intercalated materials which was applied to FePS 3 and NiPS 3 intercalated with lithium and to MnPS 3 intercalated with pyridine (C 5H 5N).
