Descrição: AC motors and generators with ratings in the range of 500 kW or more generally use form wound coils consisting of multiple turns of rectangular copper conductors. This type of machine over the years has established a very high level of reliability, but, of course, there are some failures and since these invariably involve important applications, they are of concern.
