  • Descrição: The objective of this study is the assessment of the exposure levels of the static magnetic field from three equipments of resonance magnetic imaging (RMI) installed in annexed areas of the Canary University Hospital Consortium (CUHC). The measurements were performed in predefined points following the methodology established by this research group in previous works. The result of the measurements allows concluding that for distances greater than 1 meter from the diagnostic equipment, the field levels are lower than 20 mT. This involves that the most restrictive thresholds that are established in the Spanish and European standards are never reached, so the emissions from the RMI equipments are safe for the practitioners using these diagnostic devices.
