  • Descrição: Like many women singers of traditional material, she sings in her chest voice, generally a range about the E below middle C to the G above middle C. By the 1967 recordings, age has taken its toll and the slight difficulties she demonstrated earlier in crossing the break to her head voice has turned into an actual crack. There is a version of 'The Wedding Song', best known from the Copper Family; a surprising and interesting variation on the 'Shule Agra' tune; a complete version of'My Johnny', more commonly known as 'My Barney', a classic song of migration and a hit song in Ireland, Britain, and North America in the later nineteenth century.
