Descrição: Abordagem do relacionamento entre a cultura e o lazer, analisando o turismo cultural. Para tal, de início apresentam-se algumas definições de cultura e o seu papel nas sociedades industriais. A seguir, discute-se o lazer nos grandes centros urbanos e o seu enfoque econômico. Em continuação, estuda-se o turismo cultural em nível mundial e no Brasil. E, por fim, destacam-se alguns aspectos relacionados com o turismo cultural no Brasil.
The objective of this paper is to study the relatiollship between cullure and leisure, and analyze the cultural tourism. For such, flrstly we present somedefinitions of culture and its role in industrial societies. Following, we discuss leisure in the big urban centers and its economic relevance. Furlher, we study the worldwide cultural tourism and the Brazilian case in special. Lastly, we discuss, in the conclusion, some aspects related to the cultural tourism in Brazil.
