Descrição: The aim of this paper is to present an array of management tools--social and technical--to facilitate decision-making processes, both for rural residents as well as urban professionals. This tool-box, based on the concept of The Meeting of Knowledge and the methodology of Collective Knowledge, was designed to allow both groups to share and exchange ideas and practices in order to contribute to the overall understanding of the spirit of the place, or better said, the spirit of its people. The lessons and experience gained in creating this work seek to explain some of the principles needed to create architecture that is adapted to rural landscape, to the culture of its people and its communities, in order to consolidate proposals that are innovative and participatory, yet simple to implement, design, and build.
