  • Descrição: I wish I could be as positive about Shirat Sara by Seattle native Sheila Silver (b 1946), a 22-minute 3-movement symphony for strings. First of all, the strings of [Gerard Schwarz]'s Seattle Symphony sound a bit sour, and intonation isn't always the best. Nor is the engineering, which has little resonance and gives a bit of a canned tone especially to the basses. (It was recorded in Benaroya Hall too.)
