  • Descrição: In the new world view, water is considered as an economic-social commodity and as a basic human need. Although water is one of the renewable resources, its quantity is limited. This work investigated the leakage phenomena in the water system due to the corrosion. The real case of non-revenue water (NRW) was modeled by the definition of relationship classes between the spatial and non-spatial data for water system. The relationship classes was assumed as a tool for communication between coordination of water system elements related to NRW data. Therefore, it was affected according to the type of connection and this method provided the access to the corrosion zones and leakage locations. The hydraulic model of NRW for analysis of water loss was defined in compliance with geographic information system (GIS). The result of this work led to reduction of the NRW.
