  • Descrição: The Fukasawa family house, completed in 1936, is one of the Japanese immigrant housing in Registro. The authors investigated the building and found that the pillars on the west side of the “shuoku” were disjointed because they were arranged according to the hut structure of the “kôjô”. On the other hand, it was found that the pillars on the east side were arranged the design from the outside. Next, two types of window frames, “sliding type” and “ôdome”, were used, and it was clarified that these window frames had complicated shapes and were constructed by highly skilled Carpenter Hayashi.
