  • Descrição: This article contributes to the literature on value co-creation in the context of circular entrepreneurship. We advance an empirical model of value co-creation of circular firms with their key co-creating actors and test the relationships among co-creation scope, co-creation performance, and ecosystem output. We at the same time assess the moderating effect of value alignment between co-creation scope and performance. To do so, we rely on data collected through a survey submitted to European born circular firms. We find a positive and significant relationship between value co-creation scope and value co-creation performance in each dyad made of circular firms and co-creating actors (customers, suppliers, partners, and public institutions). Vice versa, we do not find significance in the relationship between dyadic value co-creation performance and ecosystem output, except for the dyad firm-suppliers. “Value alignment” does not moderate the relationship between the dyadic value co-creation scope and performance. Our findings allow us to advance recommendations for aspiring circular entrepreneurs and to open avenues for future research.
