Descrição: The Biopiracy is a subject that is recurrent in discussion groups, especially in those that involve the paradigm environment and development. Many countries still ignore the attempts made by international bodies, and continue patenting discoveries made irregularly, using biodiversity of other countries. And many of the countries that need to be protected, such as Brazil, have a scarce and vacillating legislation. The study is mainly based on articles and dissertations, trying various possible solutions that go from a higher pressure from international organizations to an increase to research incentives for Brazilian scientists.
