Descrição: The Brazilian Society of Automatics, Sociedade Brasileira de Automatica (SBA) in Portuguese, celebrated its 45th anniversary during the XXIII Congresso Brasileiro de Automática (CBA) in a virtual platform due to the global pandemic of coronavirus COVID-19. In this paper, the authors have summarized its activities since 2002. The previous activities before 2002 were presented in Revista Controle & Automação da SBA . This magazine became Journal of Control, Automation and Electrical Systems after 2012 published by Springer.
