Descrição: A sociol'al analysis of the aesthetic factor. Aesthetic values are constituted around the informational elements of a work of art, by a process which is cultural &, hence, soc. Diff cultural traditions each have their own code which organizes informational elements into signs & symbols. These remain alive in their cultural models & acquire certain aesthetic values. Aesthetic values are soc not only in their historical genesis but also in their structure & duration. They, in turn, affect the development of the cultures which produced them. I. Langnas.
