  • Descrição: The term 'world music' started to be used in order to describe 'all the music of world people' by some ethnomusicologs towards the end of the 1970s. However, since the 1980s it has been used to express the music that belongs to especially & only out-of-West geographies in relation to that postmodernism has brought the local cultures in the foreground Having been evaluated by considering the similarities & differences that the kinds under the title of 'world music' in the article show according to the racial & geo-graphical structures; the definition of world music in fact has been explained in the processes of modernism & postmodernism.
