  • Descrição: Херсонес-Херсон был важнейшим Византийским центром в Северном Причерноморье. Частью политики Империи в регионе являлось распространение христианства. Херсонская епархия, которая возникла в IV в. и прошла долгий путь развития, играла в этом основную роль. Показано, что наибольшего рассвета она достигла к VI-VII вв. В этот период Херсон стал значительным церковным и административным центром в Таврике. Отмечается, что памятниками победы христианства стали, в частности, многочисленные культовые сооружения, прежде всего, воздвигнутые в период строительного бума VI-VII вв. Появились они, в том числе, и в горном Крыму «страны Дори». В последующем, в результате ряда кризисов, роль Херсона, как центра епархии, снижается. В VIII в. из ее состава выделилась Готская епархия. Chersonesos-Cherson was the most important Byzantine center in the Northern Black Sea region. Part of the policy of the Empire in the region was the spread of Christianity. Kherson diocese, which arose in the IV century and has come a long way of development, played a major role in this. It is shown that it reached its greatest dawn by the 6th-7th centuries. During this period, Cherson became a significant ecclesiastical and administrative center in Taurica. It is noted that, in particular, numerous religious buildings, primarily erected during the construction boom of the 6th-7th centuries, became monuments of the victory of Christianity. They appeared, among other things, in the mountainous Crimea of the “Country of Dory”. Subsequently, as a result of a series of crises, the role of Cherson, as the center of the diocese, is reduced. In the 8th century the Gotha diocese stood out from its composition.
