  • Descrição: Ziegelstein discusses majority subsidy which is created when diversity and inclusion are "owned" primarily by a small number of persons from URM groups and diversity efforts are marginalized. Assigning roles and responsibilities of diversity champions on the basis of gender, race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation can create the counterpart of the minority tax-a "majority subsidy" that may provide some persons with the time and opportunity to devote to their career advancement that others do not have, thereby contributing to a vicious cycle that inhibits progress in diversity and inclusion.
