  • Descrição: The purpose of this study is the analysis of phytpindicator species of rapid environmental change in urban areas, observing the phenological activity of the species Clitoria fairchildiana, and from this, to propose conservation and management measures for urban green areas. We chose two study areas located in Adelia Franco Avenue (south zone area 1) and Princesa Isabel Square (north zone--area 2) of Aracaju--SE, where were obtained phenological activity index and intensity index of Fournier of individuals analyzed in each area, as well as abiotic indicator data (temperature, relative humidity and light) over a period of eight months of in situ surveys. The indicator data both abiotic and biotic were tested using Spearman rank statistic in order to establish the level of correlation between them. It was observed that Clitoria fairchildiana is phytoindicator of rapid environmental change in urban areas due to show sharp changes in their phenophases directly correlated to changes in temperature and luminosity, and the set of trees of the Adelia Franco Avenue was the one that better showed direct correlations between the phenophases and the abiotic factors, especially the reduction of flowering compared with the temperature increase in the urban environment of Aracaju.
