  • Descrição: Making matters worse, the number of students pursuing computer science degrees has plummeted since 2000, which does not paint a promising picture for women in the IT field in the coming years. In a question-and-answer session with three top IT executives from Microsoft and CA, the adults onstage were flummoxed by the very first question from the authence: "What were your GPAs in college?" After some awkward fumbling onstage, the high school girls learned that a 4.0 GPA was in no way a prerequisite for a successful IT career.
