Title translates to: Architectural fictions. Bound in board, covered in original blue cloth. Title debossed on both front cover and spine. Collation: [1-13], 14-102, 101 leaves of plates. Volume includes four parallel title pages, beginning with Russian and followed by translations in German, French and English, as well as a colophon in Russian. Table of contents for text lists section titles with associated page numbers. Section titles translate to: I. Types of architectural design -- II. Technical processes -- III. Imaging methods -- IV. Composite processes -- V. Techniques and display types -- VI. Methods for detecting architectural designs -- VII. Basic principles of building architectural fictions. Table of contents for plates lists titles of illustrations with associated plate numbers. Text illustrated by miniature images of architecture in black and white. Plates feature views of architectural fictions, in color and accompanied by descriptive text. Besides title page translations, all other text appears in Russian. “First edition of the landmark work of Soviet architectural fantasies, lavishly illustrated with dramatic designs of possible cities, factories and monumental buildings. This is the best and most important publication by Chernykov, and one of the most exciting books on architecture issued in the twentieth century. Published in collaboration with D. Kopanitzin and E.
