  • Descrição: It is argued that the astrophysical jets consist of quasi-monoenergetic relativistic pair plasma, of Lorentz factor ℓ = 105±3, performing a quasi-lossfree \documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document} vec E \times \vec B \end{document}-drift in equi-pressure convected fields. The Lorentz factor derived from the naive beaming formula (in unified schemes) has no physical meaning. Hydrodynamical and hydromagnetic jet simulations agree with reality in as much as that they satisfy the conservation laws. Multiple hotspots may result from beam swinging.
