Descrição: From what I can tell from the notes, the first "Series" of Giacinto Scelsi's Preludes was published in 1947. The remaining three books are unpublished. This is their first complete recording. Ms Ammara, a fine pianist, points out in her detailed, impressionist notes that Scelsi (1905-88) was an important influence on Ligeti; it is to that composer that this music has the strongest resemblance, particularly to his piano etudes.
