Descrição:
The writing of choose-your-own-adventure stories and their digital counterpart, interactive fiction, has always been an extremely difficult craft to master. Writing creative nonfiction or speculative fiction is challenging as a practice, and generating multiple outcomes for a reader within these genres is complex. The creator must fathom a multifaceted environment in such a way that sustains readers' interest. Raymond Queneau's mathematics-inspired methods for modular writing are useful for learning how to create a plot and subplots that intersect and weave with other aspects, objects, and characters in an overarching story. The following interactive creative nonfiction piece is inspired by Queneau's format, specifically in his artist book Yours for the Telling). The speculative fiction presented below explores relationships between the bodies of underrepresented groups and women, both cisgender and transgender, and biotechnology.
