  • Descrição: Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) includes obsessive and intrusive thoughts (obsessions) followed by repetitive and ritualistic behaviors (compulsions) performed in an attempt to relieve anxiety from the thoughts. Evidence based treatment for OCD includes multiple forms of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) known as Exposure with Response Prevention (ERP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Christian practices seem to have similar underpinnings with CBT, ERP and ACT in clinical practice. The following article provides insight into an idea of more clearly incorporating Christian faith for the enhancement of OCD treatment.
