  • Descrição: By combining political and comparative history and resorting to discourses delivered by the main political authorities of both dictatorships between 1945 and 1957, the article provides the first account of the major characteristics of such a discourse and its connections with the discourses on democracy that the main European political actors developed during the postwar. In doing so, it provides a new perspective to assess both dictatorships integration process into the post-1945 International Community. [...]it nuances the account of the process of conceptualization of democracy in postwar Europe.
