  • Descrição: This article explores the role that affectivity plays in the building of the home care system in Italy. By showing how public health policies have made feelings productive through the caring role attributed to the family, it explores the practices and narratives with which women employers and women migrant workers approach caring work as an activity «made of feelings». Affective ties at work are analysed within the framework of a more general affective politics, which has made it possible, on the one hand, to institutionalise apolitical forms of work and, on the other, to regulate the migration and labour inclusion of migrant women.
