  • Descrição: A substituted derivative of acetylacetone--1,1,1-trifluoro-5-methyl-2,4-hexanedione--has been synthesized and characterized. Its pK sub a , distribution constant K sub D in water-organic phase systems (p-xylene, benzene, n-hexane), and the values characterizing the extraction of Cu, Cd, and Pb with this reagent, pH sub 0.5 and pK sub ex , were determined. The composition of the extracted particles with the metal and the stability constants of chelates, log beta sub 1 and log beta sub 2 , have also been determined.
