  • Descrição: Through creating new needs and exposing old deficits, the COVID-19 pandemic unraveled new areas where solidarity and support were warranted as well as mobilized community-based actions and attitudes. This article presents how perceptions and experiences of solidarity have evolved during the pandemic. The findings span across six thematic areas drawn from empirical material: relationships/contacts, social network support/closeness, charity, citizenship, spirituality and ecology. The material was collected within a qualitative longitudinal study with 25 interviewees, conducted from March 2020 to June 2021. The findings demonstrate that the awakening in social networks at the beginning of the pandemic has been perceived as a success and was a satisfaction-source. Yet, with the time passing, practicing solidarity has also translated into disappointments. The changes in solidarity perceptions and experiences over time, and with resources depleting, are examined in the conclusions. The article raises questions about the conditions for the durability of solidarity attitudes and practices.
