  • Descrição: This research is a theoretical study that seeks to explore the Bakhtinian concepts of dialogism and voice (cf. Bakhtin, 1986; 1990; 1999) from a literary game available on the digital platform: http://www.livroegame.com.br/ocortico/. This game covers the diverse creation of the thematic content of the Brazilian eponymous novel The Slum, written by Aluisio Azevedo (1857–1913) in 1890. Our method is to analyse the dialogical relations found in the narratives and discourses of this syncretic text (word-sound-visual structures – kinetics). Our theoretical framework is interdisciplinary, using Bakhtinian philosophy, French semiotics, research on games and digital natives developed by Coelho (2012a, 2012b), studies from Prenky (2001) on Generation Y, and Wegerif (2011; 2012) on dialogue as a pedagogical proposal. As a result, we believe that the digital format of a literary game demonstrates that the Bakhtinian concepts of dialogism and voice are productive and relevant to the study of discursive and textual interrelationships.
