Description:
The planetary impact of the covid-19 pandemic has inspired artists from various fields. Odd, pathetic, dramatic, and tragic scenes corollary to this pandemic have been poetized by these artists. Such as the case of Séraphin Kajibwani, a Congolese cartoonist who, in one of his works, paints discourse called « le fait divers » during the covid period. This study reports on the enunciative modalities by which comics-Les Chroniques de Bukavu by the aforementioned cartoonist, whose central theme evokes the covid 19 pandemic, materializes this « fait divers ». By analyzing this comic strip, thanks to poetics and pictorial semiology (for the drawings), the study explores the lives of ordinary citizens, their sufferings, their struggles, their resilience in the face of the pandemic and the action taken by one another.
