  • Descrição: In this article, we present and discuss fundamental aspects for the continuing education of EJA teachers related to linguistic studies. We started from the reading of official Opinions on the educational policy of this program in order to find the arguments that led to the creation of a course, directed to such teachers, whose objective was to offer them possibilities of reflection on the way of working the language of use of the your students. Therefore, the theoretical basis used is based on the Semiolinguistic Theory of Discourse Analysis, by Patrick Charaudeau (2008), highlighting the Communication Contract and the Subjects of the Language Act. The didactic material consists of newspaper texts, of which the popular newspaper Meia hora stands out, since its texts allow observing the different uses of the language. In this work, we present the results obtained with the application of the course and the material produced for use in Portuguese Language classes at EJA. Neste artigo, apresentamos e discutimos aspectos fundamentais para a formacao continuada de professores da EJA relacionados aos estudos linguisticos. Partimos da leitura de Pareceres oficiais sobre a politica educacional desse programa a fim de encontrarmos os argumentos que suscitaram a criacao de um curso, direcionado a tais professores,cujo objetivo foi oferecer- lhes possibilidades de reflexao sobre a maneira de trabalhar a linguagem de uso dos seus alunos. Para tanto, a base teorica utilizada sustenta-se na Teoria Semiolinguistica de Analise do Discurso, de Patrick Charaudeau (2008), destacando-se dela o Contrato de Comunicacao e os Sujeitos do Ato de Linguagem. O material didatico consiste em textos de jornais, dos quais o jornal popular Meia hora se destaca, ja que seus textos permitem observar os diferentes usos da lingua. Neste trabalho, apresentamos os resultados que obtivemos com a aplicacao do curso e do material produzido para uso nas aulas de Lingua Portuguesa na EJA.
