WHO is developing a series of guidelines on each of these conditions following the GRADE approach. The recommendations are similar to those for non infected children but they cover specific aspects related to HIV infection. This publication is intended primarily for use by national advisory boards national HIV/AIDS and child health programme managers and senior policy-makers involved in planning national strategies for child survival and paediatric prevention and care for HIV infection in resource-limited settings. Health-care providers and professional bodies could use these recommendations in advising national programmes and preparing guidelines for treatment and care.
